Sunday 15th April 2018. Just when we are all settling down to lower heating oil prices the threat of looming air strikes against Syria pushes crude oil prices up. Crude Oils have risen. Brent Crude remains above the $70 a barrel price and is up by $0.56 or 0.78% to $72.58. Similarly, WTI is up to $67.39 gaining $0.32 or 0.48%. The #heatingoil price also up to $2.1002, up $1.64 or 0.79% which has paved the way for UK heating oil prices rising over the last 3 days.
The news from theweatheroutlook.com website for the rest of the week and next week is included below.
Low pressure areas continue to affect the UK early on but high pressure will be building to the east. By the middle of the period the high pressure area begins to extend its influence across the UK and Atlantic weather systems are mostly kept west of the UK, although they could continue to trouble the north west. A south or southeasterly flow begins to pull up very warm air from southern Europe.
Week Commencing 19th April. High pressure centred to the northeast of the UK should bring warm conditions early in the period. Beyond that there is a good deal of uncertainty. Pressure may remain close to the UK but it’s also possible that low pressure areas begin returning from the Atlantic. Another option is for a colder northeasterly flow to develop.
The last 31 days has seen average UK #heatingoil prices tumble by 2.55ppl with an upward thrust putting on 1.2ppl in the last 3 days and falling back late yesterday. Crude oils today are on the rise again and UK #heatingoil looks to continue to rise momentarily despite temperatures are warming up. More recently, the last 11 days UK heating oil prices have continued to fall despite minor hiccups. Unfortunately, the threat of air strikes against Syria has pushed prices up for all petroleum products. They have now fallen back.
Prices still now show a net drop in the market place of only 1.36ppl or 2.5% but the last 3 days bucked the trend and gained 1.14ppl then fell back again to a drop of 1.36ppl.
