Tuesday 18th : Crude oils have started to fall on second day of trading since the Easter break. After trending higher in recent sessions, then falling the price of crude gained some upward movement and lost it at the end of yesterday. Brent Crude was down at $55.04 down $0.52 or 0.32%. WTI is also trading down at $52.38 down $0.27 or 0.51%. Bloomberg’s heating oil price at $1.6277 is down by $0.52 or 0.32%. We are expecting heating prices to continue to drop this week.
UK heating oil prices have now plateau’d over the last five days and are starting on a downward trend. The price of heating oil has risen by just over 1.75 ppl. The average price over the last 14 days has ranged from 40.70 ppl to 42.15 ppl. The blue logarithmic UK Average price continues to show an upwards trend despite realtime numbers starting to plateau at the 42.15ppl mark.
Over the last 7 days the average UK heating oil price increased by 0.18 ppl to 42.18 ppl with an average of 42.14. In England, prices rose by 0.16 ppl to 41.96 ppl with an average of 41.93 ppl. Scotland has increased by 0.02 ppl over the week to 44.07 ppl with an average of 44.06 ppl. Wales saw the biggest rise of 0.44 ppl to 41.72 ppl with an average of 41.62 ppl. Northern Ireland saw a rise of 0.42 ppl to 40.16 ppl with an average of 40.00 ppl.
