Tuesday 25th: Crude oils have continued to fall over the last two days but made a small comeback in the last 24 hours. Brent Crude was down up at $51.81 up $0.21 or 0.41%. WTI is also trading up but still below the $50 mark at $49.44 up $0.21 or 0.43%. Bloomberg’s heating oil price at $1.5488 is up by $0.61 or 0.40%. We are however, expecting heating prices to continue to drop this week.
UK heating oil prices have now fallen from a high of 42.00 ppl to 41.35ppl over the last 14 days. The blue logarithmic UK Average price continues to show a very slight upwards trend but clearly destined to continue to fall over the next couple of days.
Despite the cold snap we are experiencing, over the last 7 days the average UK heating oil price decreased by 0.81 ppl to 41.33 ppl with a 7 day average of 41.61 ppl. In England, prices fell by 1.00 ppl to 40.91 ppl. with a seven day average of 41.25. Scotland has also decreased by 0.30 ppl over the week to 43.80 ppl with an average of 43.99ppl. Wales saw a fall of 0.51 ppl to 41.21 ppl with an average of 41.45 ppl. Northern Ireland saw a fall of 0.68 ppl to 39.48 ppl with a 7 day average of 39.84.
